SEO Definition and its Function

1. What is SEO?

SEO stands for search engine optimization. It is the factor/process of bringing more viewers to a certain website that will overall improve the website's state and popularity. Essentially bringing the website to the top of the search results. (DMI, 2022) 

2. How is SEO used?

SEO is used to determine and improve a certain site's search ranking. For most web hosters, it would be helpful to be updated on the state of one's website in order to reach a good state in terms of the condition of one's website. (DMI, 2022)
