Definitions of Technological Terminology for Webpage

Here we are going to discuss the following terms: Internet website cookies, UI, Page Source, Meta tags, Jquery, and Hyperlinks

User Interface (UI) - The UI a.k.a. the user interface, basically allows human-computer interaction and connections in a device. (Churchville, 2021)


Meta Tags - Meta tags are the keywords/descriptions(s) used to match the search results typically done in HTML. They are also pieces of code that inform search engines/web of vital information about your specific web page.  (Hardwick, 2022)


Jquery -  Jquery is used when talking about Javascript. It is a Javascript library that simplifies the job, requiring less effort but producing more outcomes. Its purpose is to uncomplicate the process when incorporating Javascript into your website. In detail, it combines similar tasks and writes them in a single line of code. (w3schools, 2023)


Internet Website Cookies - Web Cookies allow web developers to provide you with a more confidential and convenient visit experience. The features include remembering/saving your visit, logins, shopping details, etc.  (Kaspersky, 2022)


Page Source - A page source is a section where you can find the code which was used to build the website. The data that is shown can vary. For example, from background colours to something like picture/framing size. (Stephenson, 2021)


Hyperlinks - A hyperlink is commonly seen as a text or icon which links another file, site, or object. Think of it as a text that has information stored in it. (computerhope2022)
